Surface & Condition

State seamless or welded route, solution-annealed or other ordered condition, inside and outside surface, weld-bead treatment, straightness, ends and cleanliness. Tube intended for forming, welding or internal flow service may need additional dimensional and surface requirements.

Cutting and Fabrication

Pipe and tube can be cut to length and prepared with plain, bevelled, threaded or drawing-specific ends where the route permits. Add bends, holes, slots, weld preparation or fabricated assemblies to the drawing, together with finished inspection points and cleanliness needs.

Inspection Options

Name the tubular product standard and required hydrostatic, pneumatic, eddy-current, ultrasonic, radiographic or penetrant test route with acceptance criteria. MTC, heat traceability, dimensions, straightness, surface, weld records and third-party witness points should be listed in the RFQ.

Packing for Export

Straight lengths can be bundled with end caps, spacers, wrapping and lifting points; precision or finished tubes can use individual sleeves and cases. Confirm bundle weight, length, fork or crane handling, end protection and container loading plan.

  1. Can 310S pipe and tube be supplied seamless or welded?

    Both routes can be reviewed. The choice starts with the ordered tubular standard, OD, wall, length, condition, dimensional tolerance, ends and required NDT rather than the grade name alone.

  2. What seamless size envelope is published for the China route?

    The published network envelope covers OD Φ6–Φ914 mm and 0.5–88 mm wall. Exact 310S combinations depend on the tubular standard, mill route, quantity and inspection scope.

  3. Can the largest welded OD and wall be ordered together?

    The published maxima describe different points in the manufacturing envelope and should not be combined automatically. Send the exact OD-to-wall combination, length and NDT scope for route confirmation.

  4. Which NDT details belong in a 310S pipe RFQ?
